With a background in counselling psychology and ongoing studies in leadership and management, she combines grassroots experience with strong leadership.
Dorcas Mutanu
Finance ManagerShe is the Finance Manager at Mombasa Young Mothers CBO, specializing in financial management, budgeting, and compliance to ensure accountable and effective use of resources. She holds an Accounting Technician Diploma and is pursuing CPA Part 3, with over three years of experience in financial reporting, budget management, and donor fund accountability.
Sophyann Atieno
Admin and Safeguarding OfficerSophyann Atieno is a dedicated community development and safeguarding advocate serving as the Admin and Safeguarding Officer at Mombasa Young Mothers CBO (MYM). As the Admin Officer, she supports the smooth day-to-day running of MYM by coordinating administrative activities, maintaining records and documentation, supporting communication and ensuring organizational processes are well coordinated.
Hellen Charo
Programs ManagerShe is a dedicated community advocate and Programs Manager at Mombasa Young Mothers CBO, where she leads impactful initiatives that empower young mothers through education, health and economic support. With a strong background in social work and community development, she is currently pursuing a Diploma in Project Management at the Kenya Institute of Management and holds a certificate in Information and Technology.
Faith Karuri
Communications OfficerShe is the Communications Officer at Mombasa Young Mothers CBO, where she leads strategic communication efforts to amplify the voices of young mothers and promote community-driven impact. With a strong passion for women’s empowerment, Faith uses storytelling, digital media, and advocacy to raise awareness on key social issues affecting young women and families in Mombasa.
Mary Wasike
Project OfficerShe is a dedicated Project Officer at Mombasa Young Mothers, specializing in health and wellbeing programming. She currently leads the implementation of the Empowered Resilient Determined Young Mothers (ERDYM) project, focusing on addressing gender-based violence and empowering vulnerable young mothers.
Caroline Anyango
Project OfficerShe is a dedicated community advocate and youth leader based in Mombasa, Kenya. She currently serves as a Project Officer at Mombasa Young Mothers CBO, where she leads the Empowered Determined Young Mothers for Care Justice (EDYMCJ) project.
Margaret Manga
Project OfficerMargaret Manga is a dedicated youth and women’s empowerment advocate and currently serves as a Project Officer leading the Adolescent girls and young women Rising with Information Support and Empowerment (ARISE) Project. She is passionate about empowering young people, women and young mothers through mentorship, skills development, economic empowerment and community driven solutions.
